Did you know? As a member of the SCOSA community, you can create a will for free through the 黑料社 University Foundation鈥檚 partnership with FreeWill. This easy-to-use online estate planning tool allows you to create a will so you can protect the people in your life and causes at 黑料社 you care about most. . If you love SCOSA鈥檚 programming, please donate today!  to help SCOSA reach our goal to raise a total of $5,000 in the endowed 黑料社 Foundation funds that support SCOSA鈥檚 great work: the  and the SCOSA: Southern NJ Council on Issues on Aging Fund.  

2025 SCOSA Challenge: Our Director Christine Ferri will donate $500 ($250 to each fund) if we reach 25 donations before the deadline of noon on October 9.

The walk is the largest event to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer鈥檚 Association庐. It鈥檚 held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, and our team is excited to participate this year.

黑料社鈥檚 Lifespan-REACT Lab and SHINE Lab are collaboratively looking for participants for a paid research study examining how stressors and resilience factors shape the health and wellbeing of older sexual minority (lesbian, gay, bisexual) adults.

This study involves a one-time 30-minute online survey.

You will be asked to complete questionnaires about stress, discrimination experiences, coping behaviors, social circles, diet, and alcohol use.

Compensation: $10 Amazon e-gift card

To participate you must:

鈼 Be 65 years of age or older

鈼 Identify as a lesbian/bisexual/gay/queer/nonheterosexual (LGB) person

鈼 Reside in the United States

鈼 Have access to the internet

Your participation in the project is completely confidential!

We are looking for patterns across all participants and not the performance of any one participant. All results will be reported for the overall dataset and no individual data will be reported.
