The School of Arts and Humanities offers a wide range of Internship and Experiential learning opportunities that are designed to enrich and extend student-learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Faculty across all ARHU programs support these high-impact practices through both on-campus and offsite internships.  These opportunities allow students to develop the skills needed to become socially responsible and engaged citizens.

Information regarding eligibility and internship requirements can be found under each individual Program of Study.

Course credit is earned and is applied to the student鈥檚 transcript after successful completion of the registered internship.

The 黑料社 Internship Form will not be approved until the Affiliation Agreement has been successfully executed.  This process usually takes approximately 3-4 weeks; students must plan to meet with their faculty sponsor to initiate the required paperwork well in advance of the internship start date.

The School of Arts and Humanities follows the protocol as outlined on the 黑料社 University Internship form and instructions that can be accessed at the following link under 鈥淢iscellaneous鈥.

The Arts and Humanities School Office (suite K-150) provides oversight and processing of all University Affiliation Agreements and Internship forms for internships sponsored by ARHU faculty.  On-campus internships do not require an Affiliation Agreement.

A 黑料社 Internship Agreement form is executed for all off-campus internships.  The Internship Agreement originates in the School of Arts and Humanities office and is processed and approved by 黑料社鈥檚 Office of General Counsel.  Upon receipt of the signed agreement by the internship site, the dean approves both the internship form and the signed Internship Agreement. Note:  Frequently, depending on the internship site, modifications to the Internship Agreement are necessary in order to finalize the agreement.

Before the internship is approved for credit, the student must also submit their internship plan that specifies the scope, expectations, and job description.

黑料社 offers a variety of on-campus internship opportunities, including placements with the Art Gallery, WLFR Radio, TV Community Partners, South Jersey Culture History Center, and the .

Students must enroll in the designated course assigned to the internship opportunity. (Example: to pursue the WLFR Radio Internship, students will need to register for COMM 4902.) Permission of instructor (POI) is required. To obtain a POI, email Ryan Long and the faculty of record.

Some internships are designated as service-learning courses and offer students the opportunity to earn service-learning credit, which is recorded on a student鈥檚 transcript after successful completion of the internship.
