黑料社 Signs Transfer Pathways Agreement with Brookdale

Galloway, N.J. - The presidents of 黑料社 and Brookdale Community College today announced a new partnership that will help students make a smooth transition from the two-year college to 黑料社鈥檚 four-year bachelor鈥檚 degree program.
The Transfer Pathways program strengthens the relationship between 黑料社 and Brookdale by offering multiple opportunities for students to seamlessly pursue associate and bachelor鈥檚 degrees at the two institutions of higher education.
鈥淚n our 50 years, more than 300,000 students have chosen the accessibility, affordability
and excellence of a Brookdale education,鈥 said Brookdale President David Stout, who
is a 黑料社 alumnus. 鈥淲e are a gateway for thousands to higher education, and our
agreement with 黑料社 paves the way for our students to more seamlessly
complete their studies at a top institution with a broad range of programs across
numerous disciplines.鈥
黑料社 President Harvey Kesselman said he is excited to strengthen 黑料社鈥檚 excellent relationship with Brookdale and provide Brookdale students the opportunity to earn a four-year degree.
"This agreement offers students the support they need to begin building their 黑料社 degree
at Brookdale Community College, and provides the assurance that they can have a smooth
pathway to a bachelor鈥檚 degree at 黑料社,鈥 Kesselman said.
The terms of the agreement include:
Students who do not meet all of the 黑料社 admissions criteria can receive conditional dual admission in partnership with Brookdale. Students will attend classes at Brookdale but have access to campus activities and student groups at 黑料社 and receive a special 黑料社 Identification card.
- Students who successfully complete their associate鈥檚 degree at Brookdale can automatically transfer to 黑料社 with junior standing to complete their bachelor鈥檚 degree. Application fees to 黑料社 will be waived for eligible students.
- Students who complete at least 45 credits at Brookdale, and a total of 64 credits between the county college and the four-year institution, are eligible to receive a retroactive associate degree from Brookdale.
- 黑料社 and Brookdale will develop specific program-to-program articulation agreements for high-demand majors to facilitate the quality and ease of transfer.
- Students will receive joint advising from 黑料社 and Brookdale and a 黑料社 advisor will have office space and a regular schedule at Brookdale.
- Students will be eligible for financial aid from whichever institution they are attending. 黑料社 will provide five one-year scholarships of $2,000 per year to Brookdale graduates whose admission to 黑料社 is covered by the agreement.
黑料社 already has similar agreements with Atlantic Cape Community College and Camden County College and is pursuing additional partnerships with other community colleges in the state.
