International Education Week
Galloway, N.J. 鈥 黑料社鈥檚 Office of Global Engagement is set to host a week of programs in celebration of International Education Week, nationally celebrated from Nov. 17 to 21.
This year鈥檚 theme is Global Workforce Readiness. In addition to events and tabling, OGE will host a door decorating contest and display different nations鈥 flags in F-Wing throughout the week, thanks to the planning and designing of OGE鈥檚 student worker, KaMiya Riley.

Office of Global Engagement Attends Biregional NAFSA Conference

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) attended the 2025 Biregional NAFSA Conference held Oct. 14鈥17 in Philadelphia. Team members Patricia Sagasti Suppes, Diana Strelczyk, Matthew Birch and Jocelyn Gray participated in sessions and networking opportunities with international education professionals across the region and around the world.
Strelczyk, assistant director of Education Abroad at 黑料社, was recognized with the Region鈥疿 Rising Professional Award. The honor is presented to NAFSA members who have worked in international education for fewer than five years, have demonstrated commitment through professional or volunteer activities, and are active in regional or national NAFSA initiatives.
The recognition was a complete surprise to Strelczyk. She shared, 鈥淚 did not know my colleagues from 黑料社 and Prairie View A&M had written letters for my nomination and kept it a secret for months. It is always rewarding to be recognized for my hard work and accomplishments, but it would not be possible without the support of my colleagues in OGE and collaborators from around campus. I want to thank the team for all their help along the way.鈥

Study Abroad Fair Continues to Encourage Ospreys to Go Global

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 For Theo Elefante, a first-year major, Sept. 18鈥檚 Study Abroad Fair came at a perfect time.
The Galloway resident was already interested in studying abroad and now had all of the various opportunities, resources and programs available to 黑料社 students in one centralized hub.
鈥淥ne of the reasons I came to 黑料社 was because of the study abroad opportunities,鈥 the Honors College student said. 鈥淚 really want to go to Europe or somewhere in Asia, like Japan, or back home to the Philippines, where I personally come from. This has been a really good experience, being able to see what options I have.鈥
In addition to information and resources, participants at the fair had the chance to win giveaways, including a raffle for a brand-new suitcase or a free T-shirt through spinning a prize wheel.
Countries such as South Korea and Japan in Asia and France and Italy in Europe were top of mind for many of the students weaving through the tables. However, when listing potential countries to study in, both junior Alexandra Squitieri and major Tristan Simmons expressed interest in exploring Ireland.
