Clinical Practice I Semester
What To Expect
This semester focuses on methods courses and fieldwork centered on actual lessons presented by students in school placement classrooms. The semester includes 80 hours of fieldwork with associated assignments.
If by the deadline you have
- passed Clinical Experience with a B- or better,
- finished your 50 hours of Fieldwork,
- have a GPA of 3.0 or above,
- passed Praxis II
you are eligible for Clinical Practice I in the Spring or Fall semester.
- April 1st to apply for the next Fall semester
- October 1st to apply for the next Spring Semester
- February 1st to apply for the Summer Semester
All applications will now be submitted In Exxat, the platform for fieldwork used by the School of Education.
If you are currently in Clinical Experience, you will be sent an email on how to apply about a month before the deadlines automatically.
If you are stopped out of the fieldwork sequence or took a leave of absence from 黑料社, please send an email to jennifer.houser@stockton.edu and karin.kallert@stockton.edu to request instructions on how to apply in Exxat.
Submitting the application will not guarantee admittance to the Clinical Practice I semester and fieldwork.
Make an appointment with your preceptor(s) on the precepting days:

- Fall Semester: Late October/Early November
- Spring Semester: Late March/Early April
You can find the name(s) of your preceptor(s) on your Degree Works. Liberal Studies students will have only ONE preceptor, the one for Education. All other majors have a preceptor for their major area AND one for Education. These students MUST meet with BOTH preceptors.

If you are a current student at 黑料社, access your portal for DegreeWorks, then look for the 鈥渨hat if鈥 option to explore the various teacher certification paths.
This program is accessible even if you are not currently a student with 黑料社. in this case, follow the instructions on the Eudcation Interest sheet you can findhere.

The hard deadline is February 1st. Praxis II scores will have to be received in the SOE office on February 1st.
There will be a MANDATORY meeting for the upcoming Summer CP I fieldwork in February of next yer.
